The in-dash GPS market continues to grow quickly despite lagging portable navigation device sales, according to market research firm, The NPD Group.

According to the firm’s retail tracking service, in-dash navigation unit sales were up 26% in June 2009 from June 2008.  And in 2009 alone, the growth was even faster, rising 36% from January to June. I predict this will be an accelerating trend.
