The in-dash GPS market continues to grow quickly despite lagging portable navigation device sales, according to market research firm, The NPD Group.
According to the firm’s retail tracking service, in-dash navigation unit sales were up 26% in June 2009 from June 2008. And in 2009 alone, the growth was even faster, rising 36% from January to June. Read Justin’s full report on the personal GPS nav market shifting to the GPS dashboard market here.
I predict this will be an accelerating trend.
You also should look at what these guys are doing to make the ‘nice to have’ dashboard GPS navigator transform itself to a ‘must have’ business tool.
