These Students Are learning A Lot Even Before They Graduate,
Here’s some interesting news from Iowa State University.
Jared Knight, the new president of the Government of the Student Body, and Katie Brown, GSB vice president, have already set an ambitious set of goals on an aggressive timeline for next year. Among them:
• Help start a GPS bus-tracking system for CyRide.
• Rework one of the university’s testing policies.
• Hold the line on student fee increases.
• Get a new veteran’s affairs services program off the ground.

Two of ISU’s smarter students have been elected President and Vice-president of the Government of the Student Body. The article writer gave the impression these two are “Dreaming Big”, as if the idea of a GPS tracking system for campus transport buses is a big project (it isn’t) and that it is very futuristic (it is not). These are just two smart, younger Americans who refuse to listen to the archaic whining of school administrators everywhere regarding there being no money for improvements.
GPS tracking would actually make money for the school by increased efficiency in the transportation operation. (that’s why I highlighted the third bullet pint as well as t6he first “big dream” … the two are inextricably link.
Dream on Mr. Knight and Ms. Brown. You two don’t yet have your bachelors’ degrees, but the ‘old guard’ with al their masters and PhD’s still don’t know how to add two plus two,
GPS tracking does not cost, it pays.
